First Pro/am

Nice gentle 490 yard par 4 to start with, trees either side, bunkers right of the fairway to a 2 tier and well bunkered green, usually plays into the prevailing wind. Only gets tougher from there too!

Nice and easy four ;)

Your such a ray of sunshine! 490!!!!!! Blumin hell

Seriously, its more than a test of golf from the backs, but that really doesnt matter. Its a fabulous golf course (and club), you'll be treated like royalty, just relax and have fun

Have had the pleasure of playing their twice so far and its beaten me up both times, so what, I enjoyed both immensely and would rush back (if i get invited again!). Doesnt matter who youre playing with or where youre playing, enjoyment has to be the number one goal. Oh and take a camera, some spots just beg for a picture to be taken, especially when you come out of the trees for the first time

playing dunham forrest in this comp on Friday. looking forward to it!

was planning on getting my driving sorted before it. had a few range sessions and if anything its worse! :(

Next stop Gleneagles!!!!!!

just having a look at some of the bottom scores. the team that came t59. are you telling me that the best score between the am and the pro was an 11 at the par 5 4th! nightmare! :o

Thanks Stuey.
Had a look at your card mate and it's a good steady round apart from the double on the 14th.

Yeah, we both had a horror there. I just went over the back and made a mess from there, and the pro was in the thick stuff. We both doubled it.

3 under on the last 3 holes salvaged some respectability.

You guys must have played really well, I thought the course was really tough, the rough was mental.

Didn't like the course much to be honest. Except the greens, which were so true.

You must be absolutely buzzing!

After mucking about for the first two holes Richard told me to stop buggering about and hit the damn thing as we weren't going to win if I did. Started stripping them down the middle and hit some amazing saves but my chip on the 8th to leave a birdie putt which I made for nett eagle was my moment out there today.
I don't know how long you were out there but six hours out in that sun was so draining for the last few holes.

Still hasn't sunk in yet to be honest mate.

(What a post to be number 3000 too!)

We were out there just over 5 and a 1/2 hrs.
The length of the rough was the cause of the slowness. So much looking for balls.

I'm surprised we got round in six hours then if you were out there for that long and only the third group out. We also spent several holes waiting for the group in front while they hunted for balls.
