The first comp thread got me thinking, tomorrow I’m playing my first round in 5 years where nothing’s on the line
It’s not a comp or a scored social round (all witnessed scored rounds as well as comps can be attributed to handicap and also carry side-bets within our group)
Basically tomorrow, within reason, I can do what I want as it’s just me and a mate (who wants to practice with his new driver)
What do I practice to get the most out of this round (the obvious part being areas I know I’m weaker at)
Is playing two balls all the way round the way to go or is it better to play one ball and save that time in order to drop 2 or 3 balls at various points when a shot scenario presents itself
What aspect of a practice round do you find most useful ?
Naturally we will be conscious of pace and any following groups and care of the course
