Here was me thinking this thread was going to be about cars owned... ho-hum.
I remember with a mixture of affection & dred my mid 1970's sunderland strip i owned, which was made from a really awful man made fabric. That was hot to wear in the summer & bloody freezing in winter on the pitch. On top of that, was far from comfortable to wear in general. Always felt too tight.
I'm almost ashamed to admit to owning a West Ham strip from the mid 70's too from when they were up for the FA cup.
Actually was probably also the nicest to wear & cool at least at the time to own.
If I have to be honest I've always found standard hard wearing cotton Rugby strips much more satisfying, both to wear & to look at in general.
Nothing can compare to classicly designed shirts to classic paterns over the naff & faddy outfits most football teams seem to come up with every year, season & in some cases month by month.
