Finally moved off the driving range and onto the course. As I have 36 holes to play in less than a week, decided I needed to take the plunge.
Started off by myself but joined another single player after a few holes which made the round more interesting and had a bit of crack. Went round in 89 shots (Par 69) and so was quite pleased I had broken 90 after so long away. My putting and chipping/pitching cost me dearly and I must start to concentrate on that aspect. Must have cost me at least 9 strokes. 6 Gross Pars also felt good. Was playing with my old irons as my new X-20's have still not arrived. Hoping they will appear tomorrow as I want to play 18 on Wednesday.

I can't work out how somebody can lose interest in golf either. Shame on you mate :p

Sure the golfing bug will have you firmly in its hold again before long, you will become one of us who eats, sleeps and lives golf I'm sure.

Quiet whisky, I am like you in that I gave up golf for a long time. I played golf from 15 to 18 like nothing else mattered, went off to Uni and golf interest started to wane. By 21 I had stopped playing golf completely and I didn't restart until I was 33.
Surfing and skiing took over during my 20's. Now I'm settled and older golf has become my main interest again. I do sometimes wonder how much better I might be now if I'd stuck at it through my 20's. :D
