Finding some form at the wrong time

My golf has been rather erratic as of late. My last two comps ive finished 13 over and 17 over. On these occasions i was 1 over after 9 and 1 over after 5 and then my game has gone with too many 5s and 6s. Also bought a set of custom fit wedges and managed to loose all confidence after some very poor shots. Booked an hour with the pro last night where he picked up on my arms not being connected to the body during the swing.Went out and played 12 holes to 6 over.
So now im itching to get out there and keep at it but due to work/holidays i cant play until the 12th August . Its only 4 weeks i know but anyone else in the same boat?
