Well I should have warmed up this morning. But with a 0758 tee time and a bit of tiredness I didn't give myself enough time. I topped my way to three points on the opening hole before blobbing the 2nd and 3rd with a woeful 11 on the second after losing two balls on my approach shots. I'd been here before and capitulated but recovered well and picked up 14pts from the next six holes to turn with 17pts.

Started the back nine on really well. Par, bogey, par, par, par then I lost my bottle double bogey and +6!!! yes that's right a sextuple bogey (don't ask). Recovered my composure to finish bogey, bogey for a 99. But luckily today was a stableford so my 41pt haul has given me the clubhouse lead :)

What a great weekend I'm having. Following adjustments hopefully looking at a 1.2 or 1.6 cut. The big thing for me though is doing it in a medal. Here's hoping it's the start of a good golfing year.

Well done Tiger...

As you say, easy to capitulate after a couple of blobs but you stuck at it and came out with a good result!

Think there's one or two pro's that could do a whole lot better for themselves with a similiar attitude...

must be something in the air, 45 points gave me my second win in 3 months, css is 40pts, so I'm expecting a 2 shot cut so will be playing off 21 next week, not bad considering my handicap was 28 in November.

Congratulations Tiger, hope it's enough to give you the win and the cut you are trying so hard to get.

Well played fella you are certainly on a roll at the moment. Hopefully will be following in your footsteps :)

Well played Tiger, especially for sticking with it after the +6!

I'll have to pull my socks up, otherwise you'll be catching me soon. ;)

Pleased for you Tiger, ive been watching your handicap since you came on
here.
Its taken some time, but now your off and running, good luck next week.
Cut out those big numbers, and im sure theres better to come.

Thanks PJ. Course management is improving, confidence is growing and I'm feeling more comfortable off the whites. But I think the biggest difference is I just play for fun now with no expectations. Is definitely helping me shrug off the bad shots :)

Golfmmad I'm hunting you down!!! And full_throttle you are next ;)

Just goes to show how much this game is all in the head.
Have fun, dont panic and just enjoy it and the scores will come.
Well played.
But I know you are capable of a lot lower :D

Results are in. Won my division and scores were low so CSS up from 70 to 72 so cut 2.4
:whoo:

BRILLIANT!!!
The ball is rolling chum, let's see how far it will roll.
As Bob says, relax and enjoy the game. Bad shots happen, if they didn't I know I wouldn't be driving a desk at the moment!

Good shooting!
