Finally!

Finally got my backside in gear and my head on and posted a score today.

Had a 71-6 for a net 65, came 4th in one of our clubs big competitions and I also won a couple of decent prizes, and more importantly I'm now back down to 5!

Despite a triple bogie 7 and a double bogie on the front nine I came home in -2, to post a decent score. I was more impressed with my metal game despite a triple at the 2nd due to a shocking snap hook then a crazy double at the 8th. I kept on plugging away and birdies at 10 and 11 got me going. A sensible sideways chip out of trees at 12 and failure to get up and down meant a bogie however a drained 30 footer for a birdie 2 at 13 got that shot back.

Lip outs and shaves for birdies at 14,15,16 and 17 (still don't know how my putt stayed out at 17!!!!) were so frustrating however a great up and down for par at the last and I was delighted with my score considering the two disasters on the front 9!

Sorry for the Homer style post but I am a happy man despite only having 4 hours sleep and back onto night shift in 40 minutes!!!!!
