Finally i can drive

It has taken 8 years but today was the day I believe I have finally found how to drive a golf ball.

I have been through 15 drivers and they were all probably good drivers but I have never ever got on with one for long.

Whilst in Portugal last year my mate had a Ping G25 and I hit it so well I wanted to have his or get one.
However in the meantime I had a SLDR and bought a M1 to see what all the fuss was about.
I didn't get on with either although the SLDR was preferred I ended up selling both and purchasing a Ping G25 the same spec as my mate for £82.50.

Today first time up the range I have struck gold and it was pure joy as I found something and it was flying.
I believe I have just knocked 2 shots off my handicap,different on the course I am well aware but the confidence I got from today is unbelievable.

Just have to get over the sound as its quite piercing.

They are good bats the G25. Does it go much further than your 3w ? You can knock that past most peoples drivers....

I've recently obtained a G10 10•5º driver that I was planning to sell in a few weeks time that I've never used .............. maybe I should give it a try!
How does a G10 stack up against a G25?

Mate it does and that's the reason I'm persevering with a driver,although the 3 wood is good backup for fairway finding

After seeing your bro knock it 60 yards past my 3 wood I knew I needed a driver.

I had the G10 and it was a good driver but I purchased a Cobra S2 and it was longer.
I believe the G25 is a lot longer than the G10 of course though finding the fairway is key something I have failed to do on numerous occasions with any driver.

Not only that I actually found a good set up this morning and it worked a treat.

I recently bought a SLDR 5 wood on a whim, played on Sat with it and hit it very well - just felt right. Didn't feel that I was doing anything different but hit it straighter than any hybrid/fairway I've had before.

I'm surprised to read this, particularly as you have a handicap of 7.

What have been the problems you've had with driver, what type of flight were you getting ? Now importantly what are you doing different ?
