After a couple of practise sessions this week I stepped onto te 1st tee quite confident this morning.
!st hole went well, 2nd not so but kept going. To be honest my front 9 was nothing spectacular, blobbed a couple of holes
(stableford comp)
Raised my game on the back 9 and played some good shots and good holes.
Driving was quite good, irons on the fairway were much better (my Nemesis), short game went well (I was told my putting had improved)
Not the most fantastic score in the world come the 18th but what did it for me was the encouraging remarks from my playing partners.
One of them hasn't played with me for a while and commented how much better my game was.
It meant the world to me, I was delighted and felt like my game was actually going somewhere now.
Chuffed to bits.
Do any of you other high handicappers receive words of encouragement from regular partners? It made me feel that I was at last making progress with this wonderful game!
