Favourite Shot Distance

I hate short fiddly shots so for it's probably 160-165 with an 8 iron for me although a 240 5 wood/3iron is handy to have in the locker

I don't have a favourite distance but if I had to pick one it would be a crisp wedge from 100 yards that bounces and stops dead. Mind you any well struck shot is a favourite (especially on current form)

I like shots from about 120m (no idea how some of you guys are able to assign just one club to your fav distance though)

Layups, nah, not good enough to factor that in, just get it as close as I can to the green while keeping the ball in play

Don't have one.
Perfectly capable, from 10-180 yards, of knocking it to a few feet or a few hundred feet depending on which way the wind's blowing and what flavour shoes I have on......

110 yards, so 100 metres. It's a full 6 iron for me. For some unknown reason, that always works out best.

Until very recently a 100yd PW, once controlled swing, sometimes pretty close but mostly on the green.

Since the recent re-appearance of the unmentionables I'm only comfortable from 175+ so I can hit hybrid or fairway wood instead of an iron........

80-160 yards. Anything sub 80 yards tend to get a bit flicky with the wrists and create a nice thin bullet air mailing the green. Quality shot, does the card wonders.

For a lay-up, as close as l can get, as long as it doesn't leave me a short shot to get over anything. Pretty happy with my chip'n'run shots, and the shorter the better. But my best shot at present is a full PW - so if l can be between 100 & 130 depending on terrain then happy.
