Following on from the ugliest car thread and seeing the love for some of the uglies, how about the favourite/ best car that you have owned (not what you wish you could/ should have bought).

Of all the motors I've personally owned, my favourite was my old Hilux Surf Black Navigator. I bought it new when I was living in Tokyo back in 2001, fully fitted with all mod-cons including sat nav back then. It was an absolute beast of a motor, so much fun to drive that I bought it back to the UK when I came back and kept it for 8 years. Only had 70,000 on it when I sadly gave it up. Unfortunately, they have long changed the shape and they don't look anywhere near as smart these days.

My first car was a Vauxhall Nova Saloon Pearl Edition, you're 30yrs ago, had a nice spec, loved that car, then I had a Golf estate which I modded, black wheels, air filter, lowered, bad boy bonnet, it was a phase and the car was okay, mind you on Yokohama rubber and lowered stiff suspension it stuck to the road like glue, then it was a Laguna, great car still like the shape, after that was a Mazda 3 2.2L sport Nav 185bhp, now that by far was my favourite car, current Mazda 3 Sport Nav included.

The old Mazda 3 hatch at 185bhp, you hit the sweet spot on the rev range and it was a rocket ship, it was barely run in when I exchanged it for my current Mazda 3, I was gutted. I still see it occasionally around the area.

ive had a few i would like to have kept ,a morris traveller ,mk1 escort, alfa 33 cloverleaf, mazda rx7,but my fave was an old square shaped shogun .great old battlebus went anywhere and did it with ease.
currently steering around a 2.4 V70 diesel, which is pretty good.

I've had a few favorites at different times. First favorite was a RS200 back in the 80's. Next favorite was a 911 super sport in the late 90's. Now as I'm getting older I love my current car Porsche Macan S and no doubt this will become a favorite.

Mine would be my second car. An 'H' reg Triumph 2000 Mk.1 saloon that I bought for £300. Nice straight six twin carb engine and nice to drive. It's the only car I owned I wish I still had now.

I’ve had a few I’ve loved over the years but the best has got to be my current one, a Competition Pack M4. It offers everything I could want

Favourite car - 1966 Mustang Fastback
Most fun car - 2005 Subaru Imprezza STI PPP
most useful car - 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee - winters.. .literally no problem.
can also get 4 sets of clubs and trollies and 4 people in the car!

Most disappointing car -my AC Cobra Replica, built by me in 1998-2000
this was my dream car from a child.. so I built one, 350cu performance chrevrolet engine,
a beautiful car to look at, horrendous car to drive really :(
dream shattered :(
I swapped this for the Mustang

Not sure about favourite but back in the 1990's I bought a spotless low mileage Maestro 1800 VP.
Really uncool car but leather seats and walnut interior made it look great from the inside .
Drove well, especially comfortable on long journeys.

Dreaded showing what we had ust bought to our two [then] teenage girls, to my amazement they both loved it.

My Z3M Roadster. took a load of stick off mates saying it was a hairdressers car, but with 321bhp, RWD and no traction control it was far from it. Miss that car, struggled like hell to sell it for 7k in 2002 and now they are minimum 15k for a dog!

Probably my Skoda Fabia vRS. Saw me through a good 6 years or so. After the remap she was immense.

Would love to get my Octavia vRS remapped!
