Favourite Car - that you've owned

My favourite goes back to 1967 when I had just come back to UK from a 3-year tour in Cyprus.

It was a SAAB 96 with the 3-cylinder 2-stroke engine, not quite as powerful as the one Carlsson won 2 Monte Carlos with but I loved the car even though it had only 3 gears and first gear was unsynchronised - double declutch essential.

Dear god no lol

Southern Roadcraft SRV8!
Chassis design was far superior, and the body was 50 times better!

My MkII Cobra 289.

Five litre,270 bhp, Ford V8. 0 - 60mph in under five seconds. No power steering or servo assisted brakes, real seat of the pants driving!

Absolutely LOVE it

how do you get on with the forward swept roll bar?
I love how it looks, but i am very broad shouldered, and it hindered my driving position :(

Got 2 favorites

my favorite to drive was my 2006 reg BMW 320 D.. beautiful car to drive and own

however my current work and golf car.. a 59 reg Honda civic I just love because the boot is blooming massive.. can fit an electric trolley (m1) my clubs (without removing driver etc) shoes and anything else I need and still have space for a second set of clubs

No problems with the brace bar, it is cranked and fixes to the chassis through the N/S footwell. Probably more of a hindrance for the passenger!

Erm not sure, my first car, fiesta pop 1.0 in dog poo brown. Manual choke and looking back an absolute death trap but it got me out there.
I had one of those, in a 'white' like when you wash a t-shirt to often with other colours. But it had a red go faster stripe. It was 10 years old when I got it.

I replaced it with one of the 1st Ford KA in Germany which I won in a magazine tombola. Probably my favourite. Collected it directly from the Ford factory in Cologne. It came with all extras available back then.

Cortina mk2 2000e
Capri John Player special British racing green special edition.
Escort Mexico.

None would beat my golf off the mark now but then they were quick.

Only ever owned 3 cars so my current would be my favorite

VW Golf R Mk7.

Amazingly quick and great to drive. Also goes a little under the radar as people don't expect it from a Golf.
