is it just me or is it not the gratest feeling when you grip up with the left hand and explode the POWER FADE soaring left to right down the hole.

A controlled fade i.e not a slice or "power fade" has its merits. Its great on firm greens as it lands softer and won't run into too much trouble off the tee. Some would argue you need both to play good golf (I don't) and prefer to play with one stock shape (if possible - not always the case with my game) and so atleast you can aim accordingly and trust it from there

No, 90% of golfers can hit a fade without even trying with an out to in slappy slash at the ball, it takes more skill and a better swing to draw the ball imo!

So your theory is that it takes more skill to draw the ball....Then why do so many that draw the ball work as hard to be able to hit a fade...No control over the shot maybe!

Thats complete Box Lox in my opinion....There have been more Pro golfers in the world that fade the ball...Presently the world No.1 does it...

I disagree. The best shot is a push-fade which requires an in-to-out swing, so you can still draw the ball at will..

..well you can unless you're me, in which case you'll mostly top it (work in progress) :o

Kaymer can draw the ball too! Most amateurs would love to be able to draw it but they can't.
People who can draw the ball can normally fade it too because they're better players.

That is not a fade. A fade is a shot hit with a slightly open clubface and otherwise good swing path. A slice is a shot hit because of a poor swingpath.

Were going to get into the "what constitutes a fade" and "what constitutes a draw" and JUSTONE will get his diagrams out and baffle us all again.

I've only just got over the nightmares of the last time it happened.......

Disagree with that too. Swing dead straight with an open clubface and you'll slice it across the next two adjacent fairways.

The only thing that a draw will give you over a fade is maybe depending on who's hitting it is a slight distance increase....
Ill take the control of a fade all day long over that....

I completely disagree with this also.

You mean a pull fade?

Here we go fellas..... Be prepared and have a clear head. Pay attention as the master has entered the building... ;)

Lower trajectory, better control in wind.
