Extending Iron shaft

Some of you may be aware that I recently got some Mizuno MP 53's 4-PW, although I didnt bleat on about it half as much as Aztec and his 57's so maybe you didnt read about it

Anyway, I am looking out for a MP fli hi 2 or 3 iron to go with these, but ideally need the shaft an inch longer than standard to match the other irons. Have been searching ebay for weeks but unfortunately they are very hard to come by with longer shafts.

So my question is, if I was to buy a fli hi with a standard length shaft and get a pro to put an inch 'butt' in the end of it, would someone of my low level of ability be able to notice the difference?

I doubt you'd even notice if it was the same club

If you do get one extended, get the pro to check the loft and lie while he's at it

I had trouble finding the Fli-Hi 24*(4) and ended up finding one in great nick for £30 delivered from golfbidder of all places, might be worth a look if the bay has no fruit for ya.

Thanks Alex, im keeping an eye on golfbidder but they only have 24* at the minute

I think it's about time that Aztec sold his onto someone who can actually use it

You need an extra inch on your irons so your clearly a big lad.... why don't you just take it from him!
