End of season handicap review

Ended up unchanged at 13.1

The hard graft has already started and we're aiming for 10 or 11 (don't like setting targets - becomes a distraction) but basically the quality of the golf will dictate the handicap. If I hit it as well as I have been and find a short game and an iota more consistency off the tee we're be laughing. If not I'll be higher than Smiffy and probably close to tears

not had any notifications of a change, but i think thats due to the current club set up, we're a small members section at a muni so doubt hc reviews are done.

Played 15 Medals last season and had three small cuts, three 0.1's and NINE buffer zones, so got a 1 stroke reduction from 20.7 to 19.7. :D

Think ours is scheduled for feb 1st.

Apparently I'm not on the radar so will have to work harder even though have done well so far this winter but non qualifiers.

Cheers

How can you get 3 0.1 cuts playing off your cat? Your cut should be 0.4 per shot under SSS per medal, this is bog standard stuff for every golfer with a congu handicap in your catagory

Well done on the review cut though.

Cut 2.0 from 13.9 to 11.9 - Started the year at 16.9 so the handicap secretary took the time out to explain how they arrived at the decision. It was based on the fact that although I had played in sufficient comps to get cut normally I had also entered some supplementary cards - about 1 a month as some of our Saturday group couldn't play in enough comps and this ensured all of us had active handicaps.

Anyway it worked out that my average scoring was good enough to recommend a cut of 2 based on the software they use. I must admit since the cut I haven't been far off playing to it so they can't be far wrong.

Don't think that's what he sadi Valentino, he had 3 small cuts, three 0.1s back and then nine buffers.

Good consistent play there DelB ;)

19 down to 14 (13.7) at the moment (did get down to 13.3). Target for this year is 11, although only playing at weekends for the last 4 months is making it hard to improve my game. Need to find the time for practice during the week

Mine went out from 12.2 to 12.5 and saw me in CatIII for the first time in years. Rejoining Crowborough and knowing the pro, Dennis Newnham will see me taking a few lessons and going back to basics in the hope of trying to get back down to CatII. But if it doesn't happen, I'm certainly not going to cry about it!

went up from 8 to 10 last year with only 3 or 4 buffers then won an open at the begining of oct and cut to 8.8.

won 20 matchplay games and only lost two, one the semi captains against a plus golfer who shot 5 under gross. the other i thew away when i had it in the bag.

There was talk of them cutting me due to my results in the knockout comps as i took some big scalps, but i'm glad to say that they have not after all. if you are playing well all the time and the cuts are not keeping up with the improvement fair enough.

only really played well twice all year in strokeplay events, was fine without a card in my hand.

idin't deserve any other cut!:(

First medal round back after injury I shot 100!!! :( went to see my pro to sort some issues and since then have had an 87 and 82 in non qualifying comps. My pro asked how many shots I'd been given back after the injury (not that I want any), just been advised that I am under review for a cut!
