As always, if people don't panic then there won't be an issue. Sadly................
We were shopping in aldi in bedlington yesterday, loads of eggs. The two big Morrison's near me also don't have a problem, yet anyway. This is a story the media seemed determined to make happen.
Don't forget, those who are struggling to find eggs, there will be plenty of farms where you can buy directly. (Not much use if you are in a city to be fair but for those a bit more rural, give it a go)
People do like to talk up a panic ?. It's become a thing in recent years. I wouldn't mind a shortage, I lose the argument over turkey every Christmas. From the article I linked “Morrisons said it currently has no major supply issues and only sells British eggs.”
Heard some alarmist on the telly going on about how this could ruin Christmas because of a Turkey shortage! ?

I don't know who Mandy is but I agree with her ?Don’t know if you watched “Mandy” on the beeb but she hit the nail on the head… “If Turkey was nice we would have it all year round”

Sainsbury's are importing eggs from Italy as they refuse to pay UK farmers a fair price. There have been 8 million less birds bought by farmers already so expect even less UK eggs next year.
It's about time people started thinking more about where their food comes from. It's UK apple season and yet so many shops are not stocking them![]()
Places like Sainsbury’s only care about their profits
Local farmers expenses have gone through the roof so they need to charge more for their product but the big supermarkets will just search for the cheapest
