Effects of the New Course Rating

I spent an interesting couple of hours yesterday watching and helping a mate and another assessing greens only for the slope system. They explained what they look for, and how they assess the surrounding areas of the green, the severity of green slope, the size of green in length, width and circumference and speed, moundings severity, area and depth of bunkers in relation to the size and height of the greens, extreme rough, trees, oob’s.
Then they are coming back to asses each tee and landing areas for those tees. A lot of parameters to take for these guys and paperwork to do.

Then I wished you had done ours as they refused to do our reds for males and yellows and whites for female
It rather depends on the length and the likelihood of their being played by the men or ladies. Certainly most white tees would be far too long for most club ladies. The rating exercise is expensive enough (cash and time) for the County without adding unnecessary work.
