Ecco Base One Golf Shoe

I notice Ecco have brought out a cheaper spiked shoe. The Base is as the name suggests a Base model, but with the quality you would expect from Ecco. Retail £120-130.
So has anyone seen them in the flesh, or better got a pair, and what'd your thoughts

have them in our club shop... TBH not liking them at all, prefer the older designs. luckily a have a few spare pairs that will last me a few years , then no doubt the will go Retro and go back to the older style

I probably be more tempted to get last years models at that price then buy a base model.

Should be able to get a pair of the Biom or Cage shoes for not much over the £100 mark, would much prefer to go that route (or just buy the biom hybrids and be done with the spikes )

Had a little look on eBay last night at some Ecco and found some right snortlers.
got some Ecco 3/4 walking boots in the sale and they are like yer fave slippers chewed by a dog. Very very comfy.

Love my Ecco's, super comfy. But and it's a big but, they smell of cats pee. No matter what I do to them, they stink. Hope the new versions have sorted this, looking at the web it seems to have been a common issue for a while.

never had a problem with any ecco shoes i've had, but then again we don't have a cat

Was in AG today, and had a look at the Base Shoe. To say I was disappointed is an understatement, looked cheap and more like a child's plimsolls,
Like the Biom G2, but put off by the £170 price and I want a spike shoe. Sadly Ecco prices have shot up.
Instead I'm gonna go for the new Footjoy Contour.

plenty of last years models available , never paid much more than £100 for any of mine

Well after biting the bullet and getting the Biom G2, I went for the base model. Admittedly not as retro, but they have grown on me. Won them twice, with as you would expect from Ecco no problems.
Got a fantastic deal in AG as they price matched Golf Depot who sold them at £91, whereas AG had them up for £130.
I like old AG never had any issues.
They are a quality shoe
