I have been browsing the net looking at X20 Tours and even tho i dont intend to by from ebay have looked at some clubs listed and came across these...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...E:X:RTQ:GB:1123

I thought they looked cheap listed as £180 'buy it now', so i emailed the seller to see why they were so cheap? and could he supply the serial numbers? (out of curiosity because they looked really good in the photos, and not at all fake).

The reply was surprisingly genuine! -at least something was!

Quote: "Hello there, thanks for your email, honestly i do not think they re genuine, thats why i listed such a low price, thanks"

I asked him why he thought they were fake, as they looked so good?

He replied saying (and clearly he knew they were fake from the start but never said in his listing)....

Quote: "They re cloned by a Japanese golf research team, standard lie loft length, looks exactly the same and perform almost the same way, i have compared the sound and distance , got serial number on it . I supply some golf pros and they sell them in private, actual items in the picture, regards"

The worrying part is he supplies Pros! :D I am sure most reputable pros would never buy these, however it goes to show to be wary of so called 'pros' or shops selling on ebay.

Thought i would share this with the forum, be careful and buy from reputable dealers, pros, etc.

Cheers, Wilf. :)

Anyone know where the serial numbers are. I have a set of Callaway Big Berthe 08's but can't see any serial number. They came custom from a shop store In Cowbridge South Wales so i expect them to be genuine. Came with all the packaging too.

Back in my ebay days, these pictures were all over the place.....instantly recognisable, taken over the water from a docks/refinery/?? The favoured club used to be BB 460s....shed loads of them. I wasn't even vaguely tempted.
