Well after watching Man Utd get dumped out by a great Ba goal and a save of the season from Cech my youngest son whose 14 wanted to go out for 9 holes and i'm glad i did.

I was +2 for the back 9 of course into a tough wee breeze ,ball striking was as good as Saturday if not better , but the best thing was watching my sons swing , i can't remember the last time i got the club that far back and thru the ball and it was effortless don't you just hate these young kids:)

The only other thing is he's grown that much that his junior set is getting to small so he'll be needing adult clubs very shortly, looking forward to a few more games with him over the school holidays.

wanted to get out but too much to do indoors and until I have a lesson I am staying away from the course.

Enjoy playing with your lad, keep trying to persuade mine but not having it :(

I had a pretty good day today too, was +8 today with an 8 at a par 5. I'm hoping to continue my form after a 76 yesterday with '5' 3 putts. 1st Medal is on Thursday. I'm thinking of getting my daughter a menbership but she's still only 7, might take her up on Wednesday for a go on the Par 3 course and speak to the Pro about junior coaching.

You can't beat playing golf with your kids Steve. Trouble is it is not long before they start beating you.;) I will be playing with my daughter in Spain at the end of June, and she already wants me to take her up the driving range (whatever that is.)

That day won't be far away Rich, he's not a lover of the range he just likes going and playing which suits me ,he'll be getting his lessons again with the pro and when his football season finishes he says he's going to play as much as he can so a win win for me.

My boy at touching 18 has decided he has no interest in playing golf much to my disgust, I was looking forward to a knock and a beer with him on a Friday night hrough the summer

No luck mate, the only downside was i had to be a keeper as he fired rockets at me i've forgotten how hard he can hit a football these days. Thats our plan golf at then a few beers when he's old enough as my oldest has no interest in sport what so ever.

Played yesterday and scored 35 pts and shared front 9 and overall in the swindle. So pretty pleased.

Played again this morning after getting cut a shot for the win yesterday and shot another 35 pts. Don't know if I won anything or not. But shot 19 pts on the back 9 and blobbed the 18th. It's SI 18 and was down wind. OB'd my first ball and almost drove the green with my second.

Still pretty happy, game is coming along nicely and just about ready for the season to start. Bit more work on my short game and I think I'll be there.

Really fancy my chances of getting to single figures this year now I've decided to stop messing with my swing.

was out today, man it was gale force winds, still enojyed in, good front 9 even though all shots had to be aimed 45* to the left of the target to account for the left to right winds

back 9 cold was really affecting me, still good to get out

Had a game today with a mate from work. It was so cold that we nearly came in after 4 holes. Fortunately there was nobody in front of us so we kept going. Glad we did 'cause I made birdie on the par 3 5th, and then did something I had not done before, made 4 birdies in a row from the 13th to the 16th. Apart from a tap-in on the 13th they were all long putts too.

David and I played a greensomes competition at the new course and despite one blob came away with 37 points so quite pleased with that. It was flipping cold at times though but no more or less than we've become accustomed too - all good practice for Scotland this week!

played with juniors in there comp this morning
got a sneeky round off the medal tees ;)

33 points for me driver is in naughty corner snap hook!!!!

Played the Derby with Hovis, the wind was bitter and took some of the enjoyment out of it, had a great day with the Driver and irons but my god the putter was even colder than the weather, I must of 3 putted two thirds of the greens and even had a dreaded 4 putt. If my putting had have been to its normal standard I would have beat my PB on the Derby for sure. The only excuse I have is the greens had been spiked and where quite poor compared to there regular standards. We flew round the course in a great time but both had nothing to show at the end (score wise) it was still a great laugh and I got to see the Garmin S3 in action and is now on the top of my hit list.

I also played today. Was 3up with 6 to play. All square going up the last, I hit the green, he never, he chipped in,,,,,, I lost.

I was rotten and deserved what I got. Great day though
