Anyone who has hit the above , what did you think please ? Thinking of taking a punt on one as they are a budget price .

Cheers

Midnight...

I did a driver test for AN Other magazine, the NZ9 featured in my top 5 for distance (262yrds at the belfry's uphill driving range), beating R11s, RBZ, Ping G20, Ping i20, Nike VRS....

It also feature in my top 10 for dispersion.. (i tested 31 clubs from every manufacturer (Except titeliest, who dont play with said magaizine))

For £55 its one hell of a driver!! I would suggest you seriously consider it!! The head cover was very budget, but thats nothing a nice pompom cover wouldnt sort. i also used the stock stiff shaft...

Cheers for that mate, I was trying to find some where to have a go with one before buying , but I think it may just be worth a risk. There is one on ebay at the moment with a dink in the top for £30.

go for it! i am the NZ9's biggest fan and will always suggest it when i see the old "i want a cheap driver" threads... However, based on that pic, guess what driver i will buy next!!

Why risk having a damaged one for £25? I'd go for new. Guy above Scott in that article obviously got good performance from it too.

Otherwise the likes of G10s or even the occasional G15 are not that much more - and will probably last lomger imo.

I am looking to shift my driver to fund the NZ9...£55 quid you cannot go wrong....there are launching a new one in a few weeks with a Lamkin grip...other then that an a new paint job cannot see any difference in it. The NZ9 irons are a bargain price too.

Why have Titliest fallen out with said magazine then? (I am guessing it's Todays Golfer as they do quite a few of those type of tests)

No idea to be honest, and yes it was TG.

How many drives was the dispersion over?
6.1 yards that sounds like 2 drives.

It was typically 5 drives for the dispersion and distance average.

Titleist will not put forward any gear for a direct comparison test such as TG do. There was a blind ball test and not a pro v1 in sight so I emailed to ask why and it turns out titleist don't allow comparison testing.

Don't allow, or are scared of?

Come to think of it I remember noticing no Pro V1s in a test they did once and thought it was a bit strange. Some people are quick to slag of TM and Nike, but at least they put their stuff up for direct comparison.
