My current woods set up at the moment is a Ping G15 (10.5) driver and a Benross hot speed Fairway (16.0).
The last couple of rounds I've had the driver hasn't been consistent at all and I've hit it well maybe only 2/10 times. Conversly, I can get both good distance and accuracy from my fairway wood hitting it well for perhaps 8/10 times.
The current plan is certainly to shelve the driver while i get back into the swing of things (haven't played regularly for about 4-5 years). But the question is, as my swing consistency and confidence grows, will I stand a better chance of hitting the driver 'where I'm aiming it'?
The other option would be to cut my losses, sell the Ping and look towards the benross hot driver to match my fairway wood, as it may be that it suits my swing better.
