How many singles comps per week are typically run at your club?

Over the month we have around 4 comps

1 midweek comp , 1 board comp and then either a medal or Stableford depending on what the board comp was

Then a team comp of some variation

Any bank holiday has a comp as well

If a player got their 3rd DQ on a weekend comp, are they banned for the next comp in the mid week?

There is a guy at my club that NEVER NR's. He will keep going on a hole running up double digits regularly on multiple holes in a comp. People dread going out behind him, it's a long day..............

He/she should be fined banned from comps fined £1 and hung by the neck

If I was that way inclined, it would be great for me.

I can't play mid week, so I could get as many DQ's as I wish, knowing the ban will be for a comp I'm eligible for but can't play anyway

It just sounds like a lot of effort by the Committee for not much practical impact on the player.

A lot of it you would hope won’t be needed with people still trying their best in medals essentially

Even the gentle threat of sanctions will do what’s needed

You’d have about 2 comps a year at my club.

Seems to be very much an English thing Ken from what I can make out (without wanting to get into a Scotland v England thing) thankfully we only have a couple of Stablefords a year Strokeplay every time for me !

My old club (Haddington) had a weekly mid-week medal April-October that is stableford.

Yeah Dave MacD told me that, but they have a medal virtually every day of the week do they not, seems like that anyway !
