Probably a question for Chris but now I have started I can't be arsed to go to a PM!!

What is the craic with this competition?

What courses is is played over,is it the 'poorer' courses if I can get away with calling them that...i.e.Old Tom Morris and the Old?

Could be interested as it is held at a time of year that would fit in with the rest of my 2012 plans.

If you want to play in it the prizes last year were pretty good with I think an r11 for the winner on each day plus team prizes each day and overall prizes too. I played in it two years ago and would gladly play in it again.

This year it was around €120 I think and around June I will ask at the club on Sunday if they know anymore detailsand yes you play in your fourball if you have one as a team

It was by all accounts excellent last year. some of members in our club played well and cleaned up.
1 x r11 3 wood, 1 x r11 driver, 1 x r11 recovery and 3 x taylormade bags. It was the week before Brendys outing.
The guys got a dealaround €200 for 3 nights b&b in the Mt Errigal in Letterkenny, the prizegiving in the errigal was a full 4 course.
1 of the guys came 2nd with 105 points overall, it is based on single and 4 man team with best 3 scores counting.
The guys down here are all raring to go and the interest has increased.
I am sure it will be fantastic this year as the courses are fantastic. Might see many of you their with some luck.

Nah was just the weekend care in the community in the shop today will call club manager tomorrow and pm you. Do you have a team of 4 and I will ask if they have a package or how many?

Its usually Sandy hills not the Old Tom Morris course at Rosapenna, anyone whose played them will confirm that Sandy hills is a really serious test of golf (and fitness) the OTM is a more generous course for a social game.

Should give the causeway coast comp a try mate,its 4 comp rounds and 4 practise rounds for £200 at Portstewart,Castlerock,The Valley at Royal Portrush and Ballycastle. its a good weeks golf and swally and its sponsered by Kellys nightclub the year wednesday night this year was Pussy Cat Dolls night a couple of thousand women all dressed up,cracking
