Done and Dusted

We had just planned to get the turkey crown tonight (there's only two of us after) but Sainsburys was so quiet we got everything. All got best before dates well after the big day and so all is good. HID has some proper sausagemeat to do home made rolls, is doing home made mince pies on Sunday for me to take to work and I've got all the presents done.

Chez Homer is officially done and dusted and ready for Chrimbo

I wish we were sorted Martin. Mrs Hobbit's mum took a tumble on Monday night, 4:am, and rather than ring for help she took a taxi to A&E - not bad going for an 87 yr old dementia sufferer. Unfortunately after stitching her head they sent her home sans undiagnosed broken ankle... We're going from work to hosp to home to work etc. Doing the last bits of Crimbo shopping might mean a midnight run to Sainsburys.

Poor Mrs Hobbit's mum - hope she recovers ok.

I refuse to step foot in a supermarket all year and especially this time of year, so Tescos are delivering tomorrow anything that's not already been frozen by my amazing Aunty Bessie. If they decide to substitute brussels with bananas then who knows I might find a new taste sensation!

Sorry to hear that. Hope she recovers ok. We did Sainsbury's at midnight one year and it wasn't too bad
