We ended up with a pack of poms (long story). The largest (yes honest) is in this pic.
They make me smile and drive me bananas in pretty equal doses!

20 month old standard wire haired dachshund called Freddie. Can't work out how to upload pic from iPad but will try to remember tomorrow. I grew up with dogs as my mother bred dachshunds (all varieties!) and dobermans and had boarding kennels too so as a child was surrounded by four-legged friends

10 yr old black lab Tara starting to slow down now but still up for a walk any time of the day or night
Broke my back in a car accident 8 years ago, i was fitted with plastic cast jacket before getting home
and the thing that got to me most was not getting my dog for a walk, i started walking about 1/4 mile
and back and each day a little further i truly believe this helped my recovery no end just getting out and
getting mobile rather than sitting in house feeling sorry for myself.
couldnt ask for a better natured dog loving and loyal always dont think there are bad dogs just bad owners

5 year old Short Haired German Pointer called Kayleigh. We got her from a rescue home when she was a puppy.
she was a gun dog to start with but the wife gave her a stuffed duck toy and that was that.

Still thinks she's a puppy which is very funny at times.

I have had at least one dog all my life. All of them have been workers. Currently, I have a gundog - a Black Lab. He is 10 and has been a brilliant shooting dog. Best I have ever had.

I also have had 3 Lurchers in my life and am of the opinion that they are the best all rounds dogs you can have. I will never be without one. Current Lurcher is from a hare coursing strain from the Fens. He is lovely animal.. Very affectionate and a lapdog inside a 35mph thoroughbred's body.

Got a red boxer who is about to turn 9. Still absolutely solid and loves his walks. Fantastic with the kids and he's my best friend! He hasn't been on a lead since he was about 18 months, cracker of a dog.

I will be devestated and off work for a month when I finally lose him, heres hoping we've many more years ahead!

Must have got mine at pretty much the same time Craw. Brindle bitch called Bella - strong as an Ox and daft as a brush, my 5 year old daughter has been climbing on her since she was born. Still got bags of energy.

Dread the day she goes, will be absolutely heartbroken.

:-) I have Black Lab/German Shepherd X..3year old most loving dog I've ever had, but being a bitch plays havoc with my lawn.(burn patches) The most biddable dog I ever had was a Lab/Border Collie cross called Ben, would do anthing you asked..and then there was Leo..the Loopy Lab..completely off the planet. Good times with them all..

Got a three year old male white German Shepherd who is nuts, although we only got him six months ago. Loves to play with his rubber ball and will quite happily run around in the park for ages with it. We think he's got some husky in him too. OH also has a GSD bitch who's 11 and stays with OH's parents because of her age. She's a cracker of a dog, really good off lead but fiercely loyal to her mummy!

Personally I want a spaniel but we've only got space for one dog at the moment so that will have to wait. :(

Loving the piccies though - will get some up of Sam & Spey when I can get onto OH's PC.

RobC.

We've got two dogs:

Alfie is a miniature pinscher crossed with a chihuahua and he's six months old.
Bella is a miniature dachshund crossed with a chihuahua and she's three months old.
