No, I'm not after a doctor.
My washing machine has decided it's got bored with it's present surroundings and is trying desperately to free itself from it's current position next to the sink.
From your experience, how much should I expect to be charged from a visiting plumber?

it will cost you 45 pounds an hour.
the first visit he will tell you 'yes it is moving and you have a problem.
second visit will try to fix it but cant.
third visit will try and fix another problem you didnt know you have.
think of it as plumbers giving golf lessons. lol lol :D

Well, I've had the back off the machine and after searching through some washing machine forums ???? it turns out to be the drum bearings.
Right said Fred, have to take the door off, that there door is going to have to go....
I could do a blog :D :D :D

I too know nothing about plumbing, so I'd look forward to hearing about your quest to go from amateur to fully qualified plumber in 1 year. ;)

My two favourite posts of the week. :D

Assuming Bob wasn't serious :D

I could list all the different screw sizes, the size of my socket set, how many screws it takes to hold on the back of a washing machine, the weight of the brick inside the washing machine, how to remove and fit the new bearings etc etc etc

Unfortunately, I'm stuck getting the motor out so taking a break.
Where did all that water come from?

Problay from behind the sock stuck in the pump!
Why do you need to take the motor off?

I had to change the drum bearings which meant taking the whole lot out.
Alas, I have found more broken parts inside so it's off to the big laundrette in the sky
