If you do what do you think of it and why do you prefer it.

I'm tossing around with the idea of trying one and possibly picking one up. Been looking at the Seve Icon No. 4 or maybe a centre shafted Odyssey

Been putting in quite a bit of work with the V-Easy but still having trouble taking that feeling onto the course.

If I'm honest I think I just want to try a little of everything. I did feel like my bag was settled but seem to be able to find an excuse to spend money when I want to ;)

Yes. They suit my (attempt at) SBST style.

Gamer:rolleyes: is a Bettinardi Baby Ben that I've had for almost 10 years (Furyk won US in 2003 with heel shafted one) and alternate is a special made by a mate - looks/works great but needs a fatter grip to perform for me.

Used a STX sync tour for a while, liked it.

I think generally they're pretty easy to line up to where you'd expect the sweet spot to be. Quite forgiving if you tend to misshit putts a little bit either side and most seem to be face balanced.

I was toying with the idea of one when I changed putter recently. I really liked the look and feel of them but ended up with a Scotty Newport 2 (heal shafted) and don't regret not going with the centre shaft one bit.

If you think of the mechanics, if the driving force is directly behind the point of impact there is less twisting force exerted on the point of impact therefore in theory a centre shaft should be more accurate and less prone to miss hits.

I use one and wouldn't swap it.

Changed to a centre shafted, mallet, putter 8+yrs ago. I find it easier to line up, and whatever the theory is with twisting and CoG it works very well for me. Putting average is just over 29.

I use a CS ping and have had previously a CS spider, just find them easier to line up,never miss from inside 2ft as before was a bit shakey. It does help is your SBST though.

I use a centre shafted Scotty Cameron Red X
Easier to line up.
Less prone to twisting on impact.
No offset.
Putter sole sits more level with ground.
Hands and arms seem to hang more naturally.
