Do you treat golf shoes?

Yeah but Martin, you have more shoes than Imelda Marcos, not surprising they can last 8 years if you rotate them and wear them only twice a year :) :) :ears:

I haven't always had a vast array and my original black and black and white ones got four or five solid years use before the others started to make an appearance. They are still going strong

Good advice although I'm not sure how to polish white shoes. No one has mentioned using the protector spray so I will not bother with that. I do always clean my shoes after a round so I do the basics right. I will perhaps look for the Nikwax product suggested.

wet wipes! works a treat, keep a packet in the boot and do them before the dirt ingrains especially around the creases

This is why I like the new synthetic material shoes. A quick blow with the air hose, a wipe down when I get home and they are as good as new. No stains, no increasing, perfect for a lazy git like me.

But in the case of the Nike tw range, they just feel plasticky and horrible!

I use baby wipes when I get home after they've been blown with the air hose at the course, they come up like new every time. I've used liquid black polish on my black AQL's in the past also.

Agree, plain ol' multi-surface kitchen wipes work well and then dry with kitchen towel

I generally clean them after each use

I'll let shoe polish soak in mine for a few hours then buff them up. Only do this if they've got wet on a few successive rounds though. Only need a quick polish inbetween then.

Wet wipes are a wonderful product. Until recently we had a boat we kept on the Hamble in S'ton and used around the south coast so general marine crap and salt were constant issues to clean / protech against. There was nothing that WW would not clean at least as well, sometimes better, than all sorts of propretary cleaners. Stainless steel was the most stark - the rails around the boat gleamed after a 5 min wipe round with WW compated to an hour with the metal polish!

(makes you wonder what they are 'wet' with given their cleaning power - Once they have done the tough task of neutralising a baby's bum, should we be 'neutralising' the chemicals post application as there must be some clever stuff in their to deal with the variety of 'challenges' they are able to sort out! Wow - 2 part WW, the next step forward!
