Did anyone else have a mare?

No, and I don't think I'd want to now I know what was wrong with it. The problem is, I'm not liking the new one much either. I have the potential to hit it very well, but the bad shot is still a massive hook, and the ball flight is way too high. It keeps evolving, and may be it will all come good, but I am currently going in a direction that I don't like.

I think if I stopped working on it, the curent version may evolve into an ok swing over time, once I find my own fix to the hook, rather than some one else's cure, which I am trying to bolt on.

I am currently in two minds about the whole thing, and you are right Ian, it stopped being fun ages ago. In my head, I have written off this year, and the season has not even started yet.

Murph you sound like you've got yourself into a whole world of pain and have more going on in your head over the ball that I ever did in my black days. Have you gone back to the pro and spoke about it. Is it a question of huge changes just taking a long time to get right or are you simply "not getting it" and can't get the drills to train the swing. It has to be fun or there's no point. Going out and standing on the first already thinking about coming off the last isn't fun and if the golf in between isn't inspiring you then do you need to question the validity of continuing with the changes or whether you need a break

I have a few questions ready for Thursday, namely where is this all going? I have made huge changes, I still have a million swing thoughts, I have the same bad shot (hook) the same nearly bad shot (block), I have stuffed my hip and my wrist, the ball flight is too high, and I can't really see the point of it all. May be he can, but I can't. It is supposed to be more powerful, but it isn't, more consistent, but it isn't. Etc.

I get a rest from golf next week, as I am in china. I normally hate going, but this time I am looking forwards to it. That says a lot really.
