dioes anyone else keep track like this and does it help

i do fairways hit, greens in reg, putts, if i remember ,it showed my approches are well bad!!having lessons now!

If I'm keeping a card on a bounce game I usually track no putts, fairway hit, green in regulation. Doesn't really tell me much other than that I need to hit more fairways, find more greens in regulation and sink more putts....

I then usually agonise over the card for the rest of the evening before binning it.

looking at my scores it show me that with better chipping and putting I could have shot 90 or even 89. The annoying thing is that I have been getting within a few feet with my chipping around the green recently and was not aware of doing anything differently today. Does wet grass make that much difference?

This. If I have done one thing particularly badly I normally know about it afterwards as I am thinking if only i could putt/chip/drive (delete as appropriate!)

Years ago I kept track, but mainly things like putts and getting down (amount of shots) from 150 yards.

It is worth doing, just don't get too hung up on it all, it can fry your noodle. :)

41 putts I see. Not just me that struggles with the flat stick. Mind, we both got V-Easys today so we should be seeing those tumbling down :D

I record every round, but not each shot.

I use a program called ScoreSaver2. Rather than try to explain the things I record, below is a couple of pics of it. The first is the screen you record the round on and the second is a summary of that round.

You can analyse your rounds in lots of different ways. I believe you can get a 30 day free trial from their website to see if you like it or not.

It sort of helps to identify where you need to improve (against it's inbuilt targets).

Also I quite often finish a round thinking a particular part of my game was bad but then see it wasn't when I enter it into SS2.

I like that Region3, it appeals to my love of stats.
I have golfshot on my phone but find it a pain, plus it doesn't have all our yardages correct.

Sums my analysis up perfectly although I keep it in a spreadhseet so hopefully can see improvement!

I don't bother with stats as I know that if I use a driver it'll go right, if I'm using a wedge it'll go left and if I'm in a bunker it'll take me a while to get out.

The driver and wedge are caused by the same problem, being out to in. The bunker issues are new, I've just lost a bit of confidence with it.
