Tour Winner
We played our Daily Mail foursomes match today. Very windy and bitter cold day, the sun was out but felt like mid winter. But windy is good as it meant we probably had an advantage playing at home (it's usually windy at our place all the time). Playing with my partner who is 13 handicap we ended up with 8 shots our way (the opponents were 1 and 4 handicap) ... I don't think I've ever played a match when receiving 8 shots 
Anyway not a great start as my range warmup was dreadful with pretty much every shot going left or right or fat ... And the first was a huge pull from my first drive of the day. We halved it but it didn't look good when my partner missed the next by a whole fairway wide. Luckily we got a shot and managed to use it to half it. A neat win on the 3rd was followed by a fail on the next but with a shot we get another half from it. Losing poorly on the next put us back to all square, but finally when get to the 7th and my partner chips in from just a foot off the green, with some canny use of shots we get to 3 up after nine ... And then the confidence disappears and we lose 2 balls OOB and 4 holes, by the time we get to 15th we are one down and miserable. It probably helped get rid of the deomns as I smacked a great drive and then partner knocks it to 3 feet for an eagle and back to all square. Finally some momentum as we got shots on the next two and managed to use both of them to race to a 2 & 1 win with some neat golf that could be matched in the swirling winds.
Onto the 3rd round now, let's see who we draw in the next round, when hopefully we can finally show some of the potential for the whole round.
