How far do you think Monty should go in adjusting the course conditions to suit his own team? I've heard rumours that he's growing the left rough longer than the right because on average, the Americans tend to miss left and the Europeans miss right. Is this in the spirit of the game? I know it's the right of the home captain to set things up to his team's advantage but is going a bit far?

Not a problem for me. It has gone on for years.

USA captains always had ultra fast greens and thick collars of rough around them in the days when most of the Euro team did not play much golf in the USA.

It is all just part of home advantage.

At least they all play the same greens. This seems like Monty is trying to make the Americans play a more difficult course than the Europeans.

Yes they all played the same greens then but at the end of the day they are all playing the same course here. Statistics may show the USA hit the ball left but a european player can still hit the ball left and end up in the crap
