Course Record

Congratulations. Well done to you.

Our course record was beaten last week, -7 for a 65. And Aparantly, it could have easily been/should have been -10.

If that were the case it would be minus 10, every round of golf could or should have been better

Congrats Gary, a magnificent effort that very few can do. Fantastic.

Well, amateur one at least.

There are 2 framed cards on our wall just outside the bar, sharing the amateur course record of 69 (-3).
Don't know for certain but I guess the professional course record would be lower.

Anyway, today I beat it :D
In a medal too, so it should count as a new amateur course record.

Started rubbish. Had to chip out from my first tee shot and made bogey. Scrambled a par on 2 getting up and down from a bunker. Made bogey on 3 including a fluffed chip.

2 over after 3. Not the end of the world, but not good when you have 5 shots to play with.

The last 15 holes I had 7 birdies and only 1 more bogey for a 4 under par gross 68
Only 2 of the 7 birdies were from outside 4'.

CSS didn't move so a nice 0.9 cut to my lowest ever exact of 3.6

Happy chappy tonight

congrats man, awesome job

Well done Gaz, You clearly had another good ball spotter in your group :D

So the burning question, was it the new par 5 green or the old one ;)

Old one, so it could be a short lived record, but it doesn't matter because I did it and no-one can take that away. In fact, if it doesn't stand through the course change then I can say that no-one ever beat it :D

Look on the bright side Gary, your record could stand on the 'old' course plus you'll have a chance to set another record on the 'new' course

Great shooting Gary  Knew you had that sort of round in you. Onwards & upwards...:whoo:

Awesome shooting fella👍👍.
Doesn't matter how long the record lasts. You're a course record holder and always will be. Nobody can take that away from you.
Elite stuff!

Been away for 3 days so just saw this.

Well done Gaz really pleased for you.
Always knew you had the ability to be lower than you were so onwards and upwards mate towards the 2s.
