Ok, so for instance, a major manufacturer has invited you to a golf day, they supply you with free coffee, a bacon roll (say £5), give you a free wind proof top (say £30), pay your green fee (say £80), offer you a free driver (say £200), a lunch after the round (say £30), and you are playing 4 ball match play.

Would you give a 15" putt on the 6th?

15" - that's a more than missable length - I'd have a think about it.......for about three seconds!!! Reading between the lines, I'd be giving putts all over the place - 15", 3 foot, 10 foot if the golf, a driver and the food was free!!!

In fact, just the free food and I'm the gimme king!!! :p

Yep I sure would.

They say us Scots are tight, but by the sound of it you Sassenachs give it a fair crack. :D :D :D

bad form if the supplier lets his guys win. Not good for customer relations. Next think it will be all over the trade press or worse, the web ;)

No-one misses 15" putts do they?

From the reactions I just had to go back to the top of the page and check I hadn't misread and it was really 15' !!

Give it and move on.

Did they give it or not? I guess you're talking about your master for the day?
