Right, lets get this straight.

England wants to leave Europe
Scotland wants to stay in Europe but England won't let them.
Scotland wants to leave the UK but England won't let them.
The Lib Dems want to stay in Europe but the Tories won't let them.
The UKippers want the Tories to leave Europe.
Labour want to stay in Europe [or maybe not if it gets them more votes]
The UK government complain that the Scottish referendum is far to long [2 years]
The Tory referendum will be held in 2017.
 
You certain that the majority of Scots want to leave UK. Not according to the polls.

And as for Labour wanting to stay in Europe. Do me a favour; they don't know what they want. Again according to the polls.............

Exactly. Nail hit firmly on head. As a proud Scotsman, I am embarrassed by wee Eck's megalomania. I just think this whole thing is a waste of money when the countries that make up the UK are in a terrible state.

But, most of this can only happen if Cameron wins the next election.

Actually not true. Only once would Labour have won a General Election without the Scottish or Welsh votes. So by my calculations that is seven times since 1945 that the Celtic/Gaelic tail has wagged the Anglo Saxon dog.

I would agree, an immediate referendum on Scottish Independence would have been better however, Salmond needs the time to drum up sufficient support in order to stand the slimmest of chances. Timing it to take place shortly after a commonwealth games is hoping to cash in on a wave of nationalistic fervour

Not quite right, the Celtic/Gaels in Scotland generally used to vote Liberal. It is only in recent times they have changed to SNP.
Very few labour voters in the Highlands and Islands.

Remember Labour only won two General Elections prior to 1939. I think, if you check, you will find that my earlier remarks are correct.
 
The Celtic/Gael Scots do not inhabit the central lowlands of Scotland where the majority of the population and many old labour voters lived.
Not disputing the fact that Scots and Welsh votes helped Labour win those elections, just that very few of those voters were Celtic/Gaels.

As many as half?
As for England wanting out of Europe I'm pretty sure Cameron is only wanting to renegotiate the terms that the UK (not just England) is involved in Europe and to take back some of the powers Brussels have muscled off us.
If Salmond wants to win his referendum all he has to do is give the English a vote and promise to rebuild the wall. (and before anyone jumps down my throat I jest and my wife is a Scot)
Personally I would like to see Mr Millibland actually make a proper arguement rather than just say the complete opposite to Cameron all the time. If Millibland wants to have any chance of winning the next election it might actually be time to show what his party might have to offer.
I can also think of 14 MILLION reasons each day for this country to get out of Europe and not many to stay.
