Confused about h/c

Doesn't one need individual hole scores to determine Stableford points?
Well, you can work out on an assumption your 82 contained no worse than a nett double bogey on any hole.

For example, if Par was 70 and you had a course handicap of 12, you'd get 36 points. If your handicap was 20, you'd get 44 points, and so on.

If you read post #1, the simplest and best answer is in score differentials achieved.

To look at stableford points for each round is unnecessary. As the handicap will vary you need to recall what the handicap was for each round. You do not need to do this when looking at the score differentials.

The HI is calculated from the score differentials not the stableford points.

Best? Of course. But simplest? No, not for the average golfer who glazes over at the mere mention of a differential.

Interestingly, though, if you have full access to the WHS platform, the details of daily scores listed include stableford points.
My club uses iG. Under My Rounds I see my Round History and I can see Gross, Nett and Stableford stores (as appropriate) for all rounds played at my own track (no ‘away’ rounds for some reason…a setting?); under Handicap Record I only see Gross, PCC and Score Differential for every round played plus my HI and tee used on the day of each round.

The Handicap Record is all I’m really interested in as it tells me everything I need to know - and in general that’s the gross score I must aim for if I want to replace one of my existing differentials (chances are I’ve previously done it).

Whenever something like this happens it's always good to see if the low index has changed because it is over 1 year old. That can scew the calculation if the soft cap is in operation.

Worth remembering if you use the EG app to enter a GP score it will not appear on your IG record.

Hmm?

Mine, entered yesterday on the EG app, is now showing in my club IG record. Admittedly, it was at my home course - does that make a difference?
Indeed I am pretty certain I've entered scores from away courses using the EG app, and what I've noticed is that they don't appear on my iG Rounds record though they do appear on my WHS Handicap record in iG.

I do a GP round most weeks on the EG app, none of them show in My Rounds on IG, they do show on My Handicap Record on IG
