Comparing courses and handicaps

I know there is another thread on this issue, but it has 100 pages of comments! Just looking for a source to see how my new handicap would compare with other courses I know. The courses I have in mind don’t seem to want to publish their index/lists, or haven’t got round to it.

Just look up the indexes on the r&A database

If you download the England Golf app you can see your course handicap anywhere in England.

Not sure what you mean about courses indices. A course doesn't have an Index. Players do.
Courses have ratings. Course, Bogey and Slope.

If you want your handicap at any particular course, use the link in #2 and multiply your Index by (Slope / 113).
