Coming out of retirement

Alright Guys
Hope you have been enjoying the sunshine,weather has been great for riding the bike.

Im coming out of golfing retirement tomorrow for 1 day only.

Going back to my old haunt of Southport & Ainsdale to play in the invitation with my brother.

Going to be a little bit interesting me thinks.

Open qualifying championship golf course and I have not hit a shot for 13 months & ive still got to play off my handicap of 2.

Really looking forward to seeing a few old faces and having a laugh.

1st shot is a 204y par 3 surrounded by pot bunkers so cant just try and cosy one down the middle.

Try and enjoy it, golf ain't that dull you know.

I think your long game will be fine, your chipping and pitching will be rusty. Enjoy anyway.



p.s. Maybe you could invent a new sport of cyclo-golf i.e you cycle round with your clubs on a pannier. Kill two birds with one stone.

dont think the green keeper will be as enthusiastic though.

Your right im not to concerned about full shots,im gonna hit the practice ground for an hour before hand so should get something going to take to the course.

Putting,chipping,in fact any shot requiring any feel is going to be in the lap of the gods!!
