GBR women's tennis is absolute tosh. If it weren't for Murray alone, the men's would be in the same boat. I'm glad for him he collected gold, though question Federers commitment to the game.
I am totally astonished that my 'England instead of Britain' count still stands at three.
And to be really fair they were in the Football [no surprise there] before the opening ceremony.
Well done the BBC.
Those long days in locked rooms with the waterboarding experts obviously worked.
I am not a Murray fan but my cold shoulder cooled a little yesterday after seeing him wrap a Union Jack around himself and mumble God Save The Queen in the medal ceremony. His interview, whilst as devoid as ever of any charisma, did him great credit, especially with his mention of the inspiration that Mo F gave him. He certainly went up a lot in my estimation yesterday.
I now don't mind if he does well.
To be fair to him with his interview after he won gold, he was trying to keep himself calm and in the right frame of mind as he had another gold medal to play for in less than an hour.
You could tell Federer was not bothered about winning the Olympics, by his reaction when he won his semi-final 19-17 in the third set.![]()
Yes they had, that is why LR was selected ahead of Heather Watson whose doubles ranking is actually better.
AM & LR won the Hopman Cup together in Australia in 2010.
But yeah, Dodger went fishing and caught a big un![]()
Is it just me or is the current US Open one of the most exciting tennis comps ever?
Got to be the worst venue for any major sport event anywhere in the world! But yes, this year seen some really good matches... Every match involving Andy seems to provide some drama though... Laura did really well early on... Best match, so far for me, was the ladies semi between Azarenka and Sharapova...
I've got a good feeling about this. Murray can get the monkey off his back at this US Open.
I do enjoy watching Sharapova...
