Just bought a box of bright orange balls Dunlop DDH I know they will be ***** but it's only winter golf.

Been thinking this myself.
Have lost 14 balls in 2 rounds due to not finding the ball in the bloody trees. Straighter drives may help, but I've also lost balls on the fairway too. Even yellow ones.
Maybe purple balls, or ones with a gps chip in them.
Played Moffat GC many years ago and bought 6 purple balls from their "found" basket as they were really cheap.
When we got out on the course it was covered in purple heather! I'm sure they sold those balls over and over and over again
