After losing 4 balls yesterday in the leaves (2 white, 2 yellow).

Can't see orange being much better.

I'm now thinking pink :mmm:

Will I be thrown out of the swindle

Pink are surprisingly bloody awful to see as well. We've one hole where even if you're only a couple of inches onto the first cut it's a sod to find the ball due to the leaves at the moment.

I have found coloured balls of any description and leaves never mix and so stick to white. I accept that there will be a few times in Autumn/Winter golf where I might lose one I shouldn't but put it down t the rub of the green although it ticks me off at the time

Been thinking this myself.

Have lost 14 balls in 2 rounds due to not finding the ball in the bloody trees. Straighter drives may help, but I've also lost balls on the fairway too. Even yellow ones.

Maybe purple balls, or ones with a gps chip in them. :)

Durring friendly games only we play a free drop in the area if all players agree that we would usually find it i,e first/second cut

I've tried pink, they might as well be camouflaged.
I've tried yellow and they seem to mix in with the leaves.
I've tried white and when they also mix in with the silver leaves I find all over my course.

So the plan for winter is to use any old thing and accept some will just disappear in the middle of the fairway.

As a joke Xmas present last year I was given a pair of those blue tinted glasses, they are supposed to enhance white, dunno if they work, not tried them yet. Plus if they don't work, don't really want to look like a cross between Dame Edna and Elvis

What about flashing balls?

Pink is awful, I constantly lose my pick castle tees, it's a real tricky colour to spot against green for some reason. White for me, unless it's a frosty, then yellow. But course is prob closed if it's that white out anyway!

If it's anything like some of our fairways in autumn, the ball ends up under the leaves so it really doesn't matter what colour it is !!

I was out at the weekend and lost 4 white balls as the leaves on the fairway are loosing their colour and going white. Although as a previous post said I think it is due to the ball rolling under the leaves.

i was kicking a pile of leaves , hands in pocket , disconsolate about losing ball in fairway, when i wellied my ball about 10yrds ahead!!

whats the ruling on that!!! good job i was on my own!

Lost four balls in our League final on Saturday, all well within play (two presumed on fairway / two in light rough) ... gonna give it a miss for a couple of weeks till the leaves clear off! Getting too expensive to play! If you want 4 pretty much new Taylormade Lethals, go and have a wander around Wyke Green golf club in west London.

1 penalty stroke and put it back. If you were playing with other people, you want to hope one of them kicks or treads on it, as you put it back foc, provided they aren't your partner.

We have a lot of Birch trees on our course which doesn't make spotting balls easy in amongst their leaves.
With the weather how it was at the weekend you just look for the 'ball' that isn't being blown about!
