Im planning on getting fitted up for the whole set, ive got the irons already which i'll get checked & get anything that needs doing on the day but want to sort out some woods, hybrids & wedges, my only concern is that im one of these people who has to go away & think about it, are these fitting centres ok with this, im paying the fitting fee but do they see it as your just wasting their time as you are not buying on the day. Looking at the map one the closest is Brampton Park if anybody has been.

From my experience you've paid the fitting fee to have the service of using the monitor, trying different set ups and finding what works for you. What happens after that is different. They might try and give you some kind of buy now discount or incentive but if they are any good they'll realise its a big purchase and not put too much pressure on

I went there and was fitted for a Titleist driver. I booked it through my pro, i think the cost of the fitting was covered when i bought the driver. I dont know how it works if you have booked it yourself, maybe the fitting cost covers trying clubs if you intend to buy one?
They are very good there, tried loads of different combinations of shafts and heads before i settled on the one i bought.

Brampton has to be arranged by your pro. The fitting costs £25, or is absorbed / added on by your pro. The guys at the fitting are employed by Accushnet, and get paid whether you buy or not. They don't give a stuff. It is a good place to go though.

Hi, I was lucky enough to win a Golf Monthly competition in 2008 for a full custom fit set of Cobra irons with utility and driver. I had the fitting session at Brampton and they could not have been more helpful. The pro was friendly, knowledgable and took the time to get the fit right. I'd recommend it.

Thanks fellas, just one more thing to hassle you with, I phoned & booked, before seeing murphthemogs post. Since I booked through Brampton Pro Shop, it is the head pro thats doing the fitting, now this is where im confused, is the Cobra/Titleist fitting a seperate concern from the pro shop or does he do both.

titliest/cobra/footjoy all come under the same bannor (ACUSHNET) there they may have a seperate bay or room for titliest and cobra but im sure ul be able to try either or when it comes to the clubs.

Many of these places will fit you then youc an purchses from your local pro etc... if they set the fitting up for you

I think Brampton offer you a cheap round if you're using the fitting service.

be warned - it's not one of those courses that you can do a quick nine on, 13 is the first time you're near the clubhouse - and that's a long hike back.

oh, and take plenty of balls for the 4th.

I think I only dropped 5 shots round Brampton. Easy track.

Oh, and the garden centre just down the road does an ace fry up if you are early.
