Ok, first up, if you didn't do Golf Live this year, do it next year. Awesome day out, had a blast and despite the website and the Golf Live call centre saying that Cobra weren't doing fittings, they did, although they weren't making it known.

Also, Apologies to Auburn Warrior, I completely forgot about meeting up with you, I had every intention of phoning but got a bit distracted.....mainly by Melissa Reid.....mmmmmmmm

Anyway, I got AMPED by the Cobra boys, spent about an hour with them getting sorted for a complete overhaul of my sticks, they were fantastic, free fitting, informative, funny, supplied me with free red bull when they could see that launching a million balls was taking it's toll on me. Unfortunately, they didn't have a glove and I didn't take one with me so my left hand is a bit raw today. The good thing though is that now I have my specs so can take time and find the best prices on the internet and save a few pounds.

So, where is the best place to try. So far, I have managed to find the irons 4-pw for £439. Anyone seen any better than that anywhere?

Don't think so. I got a ping fitting. The irons were half inch shorter. Quarter degree flat. But standard for all the woods. A bit like you. I was told because the sole of the woods was curved it was not needed?

Ah right, it was a pretty comprehensive fitting so I can't imagine they'd be wrong but want to double check.

The difference in my ball flight when I hit the 7 iron with -1/2 inch was unbelievable, standard length I was carrying on average 152, with the shorter shaft that went up to averaging 165 and the spin rate dropped from 3100 to 2900. Couldn't believe the shots I was hitting.

Sticks ordered. Decided to phone up my local AG as all the leg work had been done for them already so there was no chance of them cocking anything up, all they had to do was order the sticks and phone me when they came in.

In 7-10 working days, I'll be the proud owner of some Cobra Amps. And the bonus is, and the main reason I opted to get a price match at my local AG is that I have the Utility Warehouse clubcard, stuck the money on that and used to to pay for the clubs, I now get 7% of the transaction back off my Utility bill next month which equates to £64! Get in!!

Duno if I missed it, what shafts did they fit you for, or was this just an anatomical fit?
