Clubhouse\Bar Levy

£50 at my place and you lose it if you don't spend it in a year. Can't believe it but there is a fair number who don't bother to spend £50 in a year. Obviously never set foot in the clubhouse at all or enter any club comps. If I was brutally honest I wish we could do away with those sorts and enitce people in who will use it properly

No bar levy for us. I see them as a bit wrong to be honest. If I don't think the clubhouse or bar is where I want to spend my money then I shouldn't be forced to do so.

+1

if you choose to then fair enough, and no doubt you would spend it anyway, but if most levy's are £100, and y9ou have 500 members, thats £5k sitting behind the bar making interest in their bank balance.

Maybe im wrong.

Their bank accounts? If you are a member then it's partly your account too. If someone comes on and offers 100m to buy your course, who do you think gets part of this? I'm sure it wouldn't be us and them then! ;)

This is surely only the case if it is a 'Members Club' ours is a proprietory so it is the Business' Bank Account.

We used to have a bar levy of £30 refundable at that if not spent. Then changed to non-refundable and the people which didnt spend it over year used to come in the last month and buy bottles of wine to take home. They obviously got there heads together cos it got kicked out 2 years ago. How could you not spend £30 in your a club a year

We only have a £10 levy but if you put £40 on your card they will give you another tenner plus discount of 15%
