Played at Weald of Kent golf club today and one of the guys had an 18 degree Cleveland mashie hybrid with stiff shaft. I tried it out a couple times and absolutely creamed it both times. Great shape and flight. So much so, I'm thinking of buying the same spec club. A1 golf has them for £40. Anyone use this club? Any comments on how you play it? Cheers

I use the Mashie 3W, bought it off the forums for about £40 and it's such an easy club to hit and really flies. I'm definitely thinking of getting the rescues as Cleveland make lovely clubs and they're cheap!

If you hit it well and can get them cheap then why not. £40 is only the price of a good night out these days and if you don't like it then it should be easy to move on ebay. BTW welcome along to the forum. Where do you play

Thanks a lot. Used to play at Maidenhead GC but left 3 years ago or so when I started university and just play the local public courses outside of term time. Moving to Brighton this summer so looking for a new club over there!

The Cleveland Classic hybrid is every bit as easy to hit and goes a country mile, well worth trying out if your into Cleveland clubs.

Dont know where you go Homer but £40 doernt get you much of a night out these days, it barely did ten years ago!!!!

Cheers, yea think I'll buy it, will blend nicely with my driver, 4 wood and 3 hybrid. Somewhere in between my hybrid and 4 wood, probably perfect for our 3 x 230+ yard par 3's. Oh and Fundys right Homer, £40 is barely 2 rounds!!
