And, overall, the 3 wood was ok.
Went to AG and had a bash on the monitor. 230 carry, 245-250 total.
Not bad - even began to not see the white head after a while...

So I thought I'd try another brand, they had a 910 Fd with the Kai'li shaft there so I hit that.

Very. very similar figures.
So I went to the car and got my 3 wood and.......

very similar figures again.
Maybe the RBZ was a yard or 2 longer but overall all 3 clubs came out with very similar readings...

So no 17 yard increase for me but not a bad club either.
Still not convinced about the white head though..

I'm having driver troube at the minute Ian and was toying with trying the 13 degree version. It's frustrating as hell for me as the rest of my game is in decent shape, but chipping out sideways is doing my head in.

Did you play around with the settings to see if it gave any benefits

Didn't think the fairway was adjustable........?
Didn't try the driver - waay too much White...

Ian, get one out onto a proper range, all I can suggest.

May be it's a bit feckin' warmer!!
It's like the North Pole round here today.

I was having this problem last year.
It's definitely worth a try but don't disregard the forgiving ones like the G20 and the Callaways..

Was it a new trackman they had at the AG range - did it have that little plastic film with printed numbers on that you need to peel off before first use? :p

Thanks for the heads up... Not my cup of tea at all but interesting to note that it is a tiny bit longer.

I will stick with my 910 I think.

Some of the Am Golf shops only have a Vector .... I found it isnt anything like as accurate as a Trackman
I dont know which your branch has, but still worth trying again, on a range where you can use your own eyes to judge, to me always best, or try on a Trackman

Imurg,

I went to AG in Hendon today but didnt have as much will power as you.......... :o

Which AG did you go to that had the Trackman? I tried to get on the one at Top Golf in Watford but one of the sensors was bust. I ended up going to Hendon as I that's where I have my lessons and the end of the range there has an upslope so you can see exactly how far the ball is going so it was easy to compare.
I tried the 3 wood in a 15 deg stiff shaft. It was going longer than my current 3 wood by quite a way with a lovely flight, but also was going longer than the Rocketballs driver!

I tried the 5 wood but they only had it in a regular shaft and it ballooned a bit. The 4 hybrid in stiff however was really nice. Dissapointed that the driver didnt perform because it's a reasonable price...anyway I tried the R11S first in a 10.5 regular, but again just ballooned. Then tried it in a 10.5 stiff....much better and carrying slightly more than the 3 wood. Adjusted the loft down to 9 degrees and much more penetrating ball flight, regularly taking it past the 3 wood......

Just need to find the 5 wood in stiff now and then that'll be the woods sorted...:D

Need the snow to stay away to see how they perform on the course....

It was at Milton Keynes and it was the same guy who fitted Fundy and Alex for GM last year.
I don't fully trust their monitors but thats why I tried my own club as well as the Titleist as a comparison.
And they all came out very similar.
Having said that I did hit one with the RBZ that was bullet straight, perfect strike and carried 240.....
All shots were off a low tee, couldbe a different story off the deck

very nice Mr Garg

unfortunately if I had a white headed club it would be the equivalent of a sunday league footballer wearing a 200 quid pair of white boots.... just wrong ;)
