Checked out the Rocketballz 3 wood....

Cheers mate, i'm going to head up to True Fit and get a couple of lessons first. I think its the drivee, not the driver :)

I had a look at the RBZ 3w on Friday and it sits a little closed to my eye. I resisted giving it a hit though !!!

A lesson with Steve at TFG will do you no harm I'm sure.

Cracking fella and a very good teacher, let us know how you get on mate.

I got my RBZ driver and 3 wood today from TFG, spent over an hour with me trying different shafts and lofts excellent service

Im hearing these RBZ clubs are pretty damn good. But i don't think I want any more lenth out of my 3 wood or hybrid. Do you really need 17 more yards? Or be able to hit your 3 wood as far as your driver?!
I take my 3 wood when my driver is too long. I take my hybrid when the 3 wood is too long. And rarely do I need to hit more than my current 3 wood off the deck... Whats everyone else think?

I tried the RBZ 3 wood at the weekend and it was good...BUT...i also tried the R11 3 wood from last years stock and liked it much more...traded in my superfast 3 wood and all it cost me was £50! Boom!

This is a fair point but if you are going to be able to hit a RBZ 3 wood the same distance as a driver i would imagine there is greater accuracy with the 3 wood? so i may mean a bag rejig or even exchanging current driver for a 3 wood?
although not everyone seems to be finding the magical extra 17 yards

considering my driver can be somewhat erratic i am sorely tempted by a rocketballz 3 wood, just gotta try and get my mum to part with some clubcard points for some AG vouchers and I'm sorted! Also forgive me if this is the stupidest question you ever read but is it adjustable?

Ive just had a little Demo session on Trackman with the New Taylormade Fairways
Was dying to love the RBZ 3 wood, But.......... After hitting quite a few with the Standard Head RBZ 3 wood Stiff, I can report i only hit about 2 decent strikes, I think the shaft is probably a touch light and was struggling to know/feel where the clubhead was. I hit 2 really well, Straight, couple slight draw, but when went for it, a Big Left Pull.......!! Spin was a Bit High too, due to the shaft
Next, Tried out the New R11s 3 wood, Stiff Aldila Phenom, WOW, was dfferent class, ( For ME ) , better weight/feel in shaft & head, and my Strikes were way, way, Better
Best hit , SS 94mph, Smash 1.47, Total 239 yds

In comparison, my mate is selling a Ping G15 17deg 4 wood, Stiff Aldila Serrano, and I tried that against these 2, and Ive got to say, I was pretty impressed with the Ping too.......:mmm:......decisions, decisions.....

Had one of the regular roll up texting me earlier saying his fallen in love with the RBZ driver and is going back tomorrow to try the fairways. Decided I'm going to give them a bash on Sunday as the course will be closed. I'm trying not to get too excited. I was really keen to hit the R11 driver last year and in the end found it a bit of a disappointment so hopefully this will be different

I had the same results Moogie, I really wanted the RBZ 3 wood to work for me at the fitting in Wentworth but couldnt stop pulling them, as you said, it felt quite light. I have to say though, event he hooks were going 240.. The R11s went bolt straight and long,R11s Driver and 3W (Rip Phenom 80g shaft) coming on in the next couple of weeks, cant wait!

Had a go with Rick's RBZ 3 wood the other day and I have to say it's looking good. Some really good strikes from the deck. The hybrid went well too.

Nice one, Brendy
I resisted hitting the R11s Driver today, just incase I was Tempted......
Because Im waiting til the Shop gets a RBZ TOUR Driver I can try alongside of it, to compare, so Im 100% Sure Ive bought what suits Best, and ruled the rest out

On another note.......They just took delivery of New Ping i20 Demo Drivers / Irons / Shafts today too
Irons look nice, but Im not in the market for any new Irons, just a New Driver & Fairway for the New season
But it looks like the Fairway decision may not be too hard..............

Wish you hadn't mentioned I20. Really liked the I15 and these are suppose to be even better. I'll see if my teaching pro has their demo models in and have a look although RBZ first I think

I had a bash with the I20s today I play s56 at the minute and can honestly say they are very similar but the s56 would get my vote even tho I really really wanted the i20s

Just heard on Skysports there that Dustin J has shelved his 3 wood in favour of his 4 wood as it goes too far! haha.
New grips are ten times better than last years Winns, they were plastic fantastic.

Isaw that too Brendy. Interesting you were hitting it left with the RBZ...I looked at it today and it sat quite closed to my eye.
