been using TM burners and TM XDs for a fair while now but fancy something different. Have used srixon ad333s before and thought they was ok, tried a mates callaway (think it was a warbird) the other day and it felt almost light for putting compared to my ball and just strange to be honest.

Im not after a pro v1 as dont think they would suit my game. Has anyone used the new titleist ball they brought out? or possibly suggest someothers to try? I dont want a stone but on the other hand i dont want something to spinny like the pro v as i have a tendancy to slice when under pressure lol

You could try the Srixon soft feel if you don't like the ad333s as they are quiet like pro V1s.
I like pro Vs and I like ad333s as they are similar to me anyway.

i didnt mind the ad333 was using the orange versions during winter.

might try the soft feel with the warmer weather coming up, normally bulk buy from ebay pearl condition but might just grab a few different 3packs from the shop. Never tried any kind of Wilson ball so will grab a sleeve of them

Try eBay you can pick up a dozen dx2 cheap, try ping-eye2 or something. I buy grade a but they are immaculate, the odd couple have pen marks that's it.

do ping even make golf balls anymore? i see on ebay those half cloured balls are going for small fortunes. are you telling me i lost a ball worth £50 when i was kid. i used to have a pink and white one. used to... :mmm:

Personally I find the AD-333 and Nike PD-Soft very similar. Both soft compared to the usual rocks and can be spun around the greens with a good strike. Also find them consisent when putting. The Nike can be picked up quiet cheap. I pay around £45 for 3 dozen but I get them printed. You can pick them up for between £10 and £12 per dozen in the major chains.

I fancied a change from my usual Bridgestone e6 balls so I've just bought 50 DX2 lake balls (from Aforedablegolf rather than the bay, pretty good price I thought although shipment was a little slow).

Finding the DX2 in general quite good, nice sound, nice feel. I'm trying them because I found one on the course and in the few holes I used it before hitting it in the water I was taken with the feel. Think the e6 is slightly harder but not that much in it, I'd recommend those as well as a mid-range ball and they do sell them as anti-slice balls. If the new Titleist you're talking about is the Velocity, I did try (find) one of those the other week and found it pretty hard, didn't like it much at all.

I bought some of the titlelist velocity 38 quid for 2 dozen from AG but unlike OC I found them Ok and i mean just Ok.

I've been using the Wilson DX3 soft for the past few months and it's been pretty good. However, now that the greens have (finally!!) dried out I'm not getting the stop I'd like so I'm trying out Bridgestone Tour B330-RX for the summer :)

Rocketballz? Supposed to be the burner tp replacement... I am yet to try them as I have loads of burner tp in "stock"

I'd suggest the DX3.

I swapped from the AD333 to the DX3 towards the start of the year. I've been impressed so far

I've recently done exactly the same and have to say I'm very pleased with the dx3 soft. They feel good off both driver and putter and spin well too. Definitely recommend them.

Is it just me! But I find all mid priced soft type balls the same. Or is it just my rubbish swing?

To be honest Dave I don't think us hackers will notice too big a difference between brands on mid range balls. I personally don't notice a huge difference in feel between the Srixon and Wilson Staff, but I have noticed a difference in spin between the two.

Throw a preimum ball into the mix againt a mid-range/price ball and you will see differences for sure.
