Are there any Gas boiler engineers out there?
I've got gas central heating and a Worcester 28i boiler which was installed by British Gas about 10 years ago which has stopped working .
It has gone off a few times in the passed but I've managed to restart it by switching it off at the mains, turned the thermostat down, then switched it back on again and turned the thermostat back up again.
That's now not working.
It sounds as normal but when the thermostat clicks on the burners dont light.
There's plenty water in the system and it's been working perfectly all winter.
Just woke up this morning and nothing.
Any clues anyone ?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

My parents has a similar problem but with a glowworm a few years ago. The diagnosis I believe was spark board.

So the boiler is not firing up on hot water or central heating? Just check on top of the boiler left hand side there is a little red button which is the overheat stat, see if it presses down and try again

Ive just looked and there's 2. neither are buttons. One has a red cap over the top of it and the other has a red thread on it

The one with the cap will be the auto air vent, there will be one nearest the front of the boiler with be the overheat stat, if it won't press down then it won't have tripped, just try and press it anyway, when you call for heating or hot water do you hear the fan run in the boiler or is it silent.

There's no hurry as it's not cold but we could sort out some deal with some golf lessons :)

Bob if you take the outer case off and turn your hot tap on you should be able to see if its trying to Ignite/sparking through the inspection glass.

If you can't see this your fan might be stuck.

There's no sign of any spark, just darkness and a faint humming noise which goes off a few seconds after the hot tap is turned off
